Invitations to tender for Denmead Burial GroundParking and turning area.

Denmead Parish Council (DPC) are inviting tenders for the following works. From Point B to point C on the attached Map (appendix 3).

The works consist of the removal of all existing Shingle and tarmac surfaces and 100mm of existing subbase and reinstated with a minimum of 100mm of type 1 stone and 50mm of 20mm shingle graded to the existing levels. The works also consist of the replacement of sleepers that form that back wall of the parking bays (appendix 4).

The tender return price should allow for all Plant, Labour, Materials, Signage and guarding and the removal and disposal of all materials, along with a schedule of rates to be used should DPC choose to change the scope of the works. An indication on the tender if the relevant documentation is in place is required. This must include insurance and health and safety.

The tender return price will be best and final price.

Tenders should be submitted no later than 4 weeks from the date of publication and submitted in a sealed envelope marked for the attention of the Clerk at the address shown below or by email parishclerk@denmead-pc.gov.uk

Prospective contractors are prohibited to contact staff and Councillors to encourage or support their tender outside of the prescribed process described above.

The works should be tendered as two separate packages, but should DPC decide to let both packages, a mobilisation price reduction would be expected.
